Major or minor defects may or may not be noted.  Other defects may exist and it is your responsibility to verify the functional ability of each item listed.  Vehicles and equipment may be inspected at the Riverview Fire Dept., 18500 Civic Park Drive, Riverview, MI 48193 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  You must check in at the Fire Department before you enter to inspect any vehicles or equipment listed.  Test Drives are not permitted. 

LIABILITY:  All items are sold “as is” and “where is” without warranty either expressed or implied (meaning the condition and the location is final and you are offering to purchase the item based on its current condition and location).  No warranties are offered.  If you are unclear about any condition of this Sale, you should contact the Riverview Purchasing/Finance Department for clarification at purchgroup@cityofriverview.com.  All sales will be final.  The City may withdraw an item at any time from the auction.  The City of Riverview assumes no liability for inaccurate or erroneous descriptions contained in any descriptive material pertaining to the auctioned item, vehicle or equipment.

PAYMENT:  All vehicles or equipment purchased must be paid in full prior to pick-up.  The City of Riverview Finance Department accepts Cash, Money Orders, Certified Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. There will be a 3% fee added to all credit card transactions.  Payment will be made at the City of Riverview Finance Department which is located at 14100 Civic Park Drive, Riverview, MI 48193.  Applicable State sales tax applies on all purchases and will be charged from the Secretary of State when title is transferred.     

TITLE:  Titles will only be issued in the name(s) of the person or persons listed as the awarded bidder on the auction site or the company he or she represents (with authorization).  Without exception, titles must list the aforementioned name (whether company, dealer or private citizen), the selling price of vehicle, the date and must be signed by both the company representative and the City Clerk’s Office (where appropriate).  Per the Secretary of State, Dealers can receive resale titles from any local SOS office which will have no previous title information included (i.e. previous owner, sales price, etc.)

PICK-UP:    Once a vehicle or item has been paid for, it can be picked up by the awarded bidder at the Riverview Fire Department, 18500 Civic Park Drive, Riverview, MI 48193 between 9:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. The awarded bidder must bring the title to the Riverview Fire Department in order to pick up any vehicles.  All vehicles and equipment will be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser.  The items must be loaded without City staff participation.

PICK-UP TIME LIMIT:   If the vehicles or equipment are not picked up within 10 business days after the auction expiration date and time, the City of Riverview reserves the right to retain the vehicle or equipment item and re-list it for auction as well as block the bidder from future auctions.
