All items will be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser. The items must be loaded without City staff participation.

Please note that 6% sales tax will be added to the final bid price.

TERMS OF SALE: All sales are final and seller does not guarantee condition. Condition of this property is used and untested to any degree and all items are sold “as is” and “where is” without warranty either expressed or implied.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The seller makes no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, relating to the items being auctioned and will not be held responsible for any advertising discrepancies or inaccuracies. Buyers shall not be entitled to recession, damages, or any other remedy on account of the quality of the property listed for sale. The City may withdraw an item at any time from the auction.

PICK-UP: The equipment will be available for pick-up at the City of Sterling Heights City Hall located at 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. Winning bidder must have a prearranged appointment – you must call the Sterling Heights Purchasing Office at (586) 446-2740 or email shpurchasing@sterling-heights.net to arrange an appointment to pick-up item(s) purchased. All prearranged appointments must be scheduled and items picked-up within 10 days after notice. All items will be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser. The items must be loaded without City staff participation. If the equipment and/or items are not picked up at the scheduled date and time, the City reserves the right to retain the equipment and/or items and re-list them for auction. A buyer who fails to complete a transaction when required may lose the ability to bid on City of Sterling Heights auctions in the future.

PAYMENT METHODS: The City of Sterling Heights will accept Credit Card, Money Order, Certified Check, or Cash only. A 6% sales tax will be added to final bid price. All items must be paid in full in person and a valid picture I.D. must be presented.

If a governmental agency, school, or other tax exempt party is the successful bidder, a tax exemption form will be required before items can be removed from the premises. Technical issues beyond the control of the City of Sterling Heights may result in a non-award with the item being relisted for auction.
