Item must be paid for and picked up within 5 business days from the date of the invoice.  Do not bid on this item if you are not able to fulfill this requirement.


City staff members are not allowed to assist winning bidder with loading of the item in their vehicle. Do not bid on this item unless you are able to bring enough help to load it yourself.




LIABILITY:     All items are sold “As Is” and “Where is” without warranty either expressed or implied.   Condition of this property is used and untested to any degree.  Therefore, the City of Novi offers no warranty whatsoever as to the condition or fitness for any use or purpose. 


All sales will be final.  Descriptions are believed to be accurate.  The City of Novi assumes no liability for inaccurate or erroneous descriptions contained in any descriptive material pertaining to the auctioned items. 


The City of Novi may withdraw an item at any time from the auction sale.  The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.



The Seller (City of Novi) accepts Cashier’s Checks or Cash.  All equipment and/or items purchased must be paid in full.  No personal, company, out-of-state, or Canadian checks will be accepted.  Cashier’s checks should be made out to the “City of Novi”.


Purchaser must have a prearranged appointment to make payment and pick up item(s).   You must email to arrange an appointment.  Items must be paid for & picked up within five (5) business days from invoice date.  Failure to make an appointment may result in the inability of the bidder to pay for or pick the item(s) up.


Sales Tax: All goods sold will be charged the applicable State of Michigan Sales Tax (currently 6%). 


Tax exemption:  If your business entity is exempt from payment of sales tax, you must provide a copy of the exemption certificate at the time of payment or your sale will be charged the applicable State of Michigan Sales Tax.  



All purchased items are to be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser.  City staff is not allowed to assist with the removal & loading of the item.  Bidder should be sure to bring adequate help to load the item themselves.


Buyer must bring a picture ID and receipt for the item.  Mailing/delivery services cannot be provided. 


If bidder sends an agent to pick up the equipment and/or items, in addition to receipt of payment in full, the agent must have the following documentation prior to the release of any equipment and/or items: 

1.         A valid driver’s license in his/her name and,

2.         An original NOTARIZED statement from the bidder appointing the individual as his/her agent and authorizing the agent to sign the Certificate of Title as Purchaser and agent of the bidder.”


TIME LIMIT:  If item(s) are not picked up at the prearranged scheduled date and time, the City of Novi reserves the right to retain the item(s) and re-list them on the auction website.
