SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
This is a Request for Proposal for detailed architectural and design services, cost estimates and construction bid assistance in the remodeling of the Village Hall. The project involves the renovation of interior spaces within the existing Village Hall building. The firm selected will provide a complete set of interior design construction drawings (permit ready). The firm will be available for review of general contractor bids and qualifications and pre-construction meetings as necessary. It is anticipated that the project will be administered by the Village through existing Village staff and/or our current engineering firm. The contact person shall be available for questions or consultation during the construction project as required. The Village has previously commissioned a redesign of the front counter in the lobby area for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The proposed counter-redesign is included in this RFP as Attachment “B”. The firm is free to utilize this design in their submission, but not required. If the firm chooses not to use this design they will be responsible for creating their own re-design of the counter for ADA compliance. The Village does anticipate being able to utilize CDBG funding for some ADA compliance aspects of the rehabilitation project. All regulatory requirements of the State of Michigan relative to Building and Fire Codes, and state and federal workplace health and safety requirements, OSHA requirements, ADA, and any another applicable building, workplace or environmental regulations will be required.
