SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
Oakland Schools is seeking bids from qualified vendors to replace the existing UPS system in our current Data Center. The current system was manufactured in 2002, and is about 14 years old. It is a MGE EPS 6000 rated at 225 kVA. Our current load calls for about 50kVA. The system is basically oversized by over two thirds. The system also has a very limited avenue to update for monitoring or to down grade it to a smaller size. With the advancement of technology and virtualization, the system has become inefficient to maintain and high cost of energy use.
