SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
The Genesee County Procurement Regulations provides that a procurement may be made without competition when there is a situation where there is the inability to obtain competition. Therefore, a “sole source” procurement is justified if there is only one product or service that can reasonably meet the county’s need and there is only one vendor who will provide the product or service. The Purchasing Department has received a request to make the following sole source procurement. Requesting Agency: Animal Control Product and/or Service to be Purchased: 1 year contract with two 1 year renewals to Veterinary Services Proposed Sole Source Supplier: Dr. Terri McCormack Sole Source Justification: Past attempts to contract with a veterinarian through the RFP process have resulted in a single (from incumbent veterinarian) or no response. Purpose of This Notice of Proposed Sole Source Posting: The intent of this posting is to verify with the vendor community that this proposed purchase is indeed a valid sole source. Action to be Taken: No action is required if you agree this proposed purchase is a valid sole source. If you disagree that this proposed purchase is a valid sole source or you would like to submit a proposal to provide the service, you are then asked to email your comments noting so to Cindy Carnes in the Purchasing Department at ccarnes@co.genesee.mi.us prior to the “Due Date for Comments” indicated above.
