SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
RESPITE SERVICES are described as the provision of in-home, unskilled companionship, supervision, and/or assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) in the absence of the primary care giver(s), to persons aged 60 years and older, who are frail and/or have physical and/or mental disabilities and/or impairments, and who reside in Genesee County. RESPITE SERVICES are to be provided in the senior person's residence. For the purposes of this RFP, these services may not be provided at locations other than the senior person’s residence. Facility based respite-type services are considered an ADULT DAY CARE Service. Provision of transportation services is also not considered to be a component of RESPITE SERVICES.
