SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The City of Ypsilanti is soliciting sealed bids for the furnishing of all necessary labor, equipment, and material for one (1) motorized Pumper Fire Apparatus (Engine) and associated equipment, as defined by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1901 Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus, 2016 Edition and outlined in the attached specifications. Bid specifications will be emailed upon request. Printed copies will be available for $10.00 payable to City of Ypsilanti. Bidders shall submit pricing on the BID FORM that is provided, and bids shall include ALL documents required in the SPECIFICATIONS. Sealed bids must be RECEIVED at the following location no later than 2:00 P.M. EDT on FRIDAY, JULY 22, 2016: City Clerk’s Office Ypsilanti City Hall 1 South Huron Street Ypsilanti, MI 48197 Bids will be opened and read aloud at 2:05 P.M. EDT on the above date, at the Ypsilanti City Hall. Bids will then be submitted to the Fire Department for evaluation and recommendations. SPECIAL NOTE ANY ATTEMPT INITIATED BY BIDDERS OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVES TO NEGOTIATE/MODIFY TERMS, CONDITIONS OR AMOUNT OF BID AFTER THE BID OPENING AND BEFORE THE AWARD OF CONTRACT SHALL BE IMMEDIATE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF BID AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM FURTHER CONSIDERATION. MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. EDT WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2016 at the City of Ypsilanti Fire Department, 525 West Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti MI 48197. Bids will not be accepted from bidders that do not attend the mandatory meeting. Bidders are asked to review the specifications prior to the conference and be prepared to ask any questions about the specifications at the meeting. Any clarifications or changes to the specifications will be sent out to attendees after the meeting. Bidders are asked to show up at least ten (10) minutes prior to the meeting start time to allow for registration.
