SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The City of St. Clair Shores invites single prime sealed bids for FITNESS EQUIPMENT at the newly renovated St. Clair Shores Senior Center for Active Adults. This project includes: Furnishing, installation and setup of new fitness equipment into the new addition of the St. Clair Shores Senior Center for Active Adults (currently under construction). The new addition is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2017. None of the existing equipment will be reused. All existing fitness / weight equipment may be sold by the Owner separate from this Work. Bidder(s) shall propose an Optional Credit on the Bid Form for the existing equipment. Photographs of the existing equipment are provided for reference in the bid package. Bidders may bid on any or all items listed. Federal financial assistance from the Department of HUD, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program is being provided for this project and thus all contractors are required to comply with applicable federal guidelines and requirements. Davis Bacon Wages and Section 3 Regulations apply. Submit proposals on the bid form supplied in the project manual. No oral, electronic or telegraphic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bid bond payable to the City of St. Clair Shores, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bids submitted shall fully comply in all respects to these instructions, published specifications, drawings, and other contract documents. Bid price shall include all costs associated with this project. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the Owner. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any formalities in regard thereto. In addition, the City reserves the right to evaluate bids on any basis determined by the City to be in the best interest of the City, to consider alternate bids if the low bidder(s) does not comply with the project requirements or are otherwise determined to be unqualified, and to split bids as the City may seem fit. The Architect will provide the bid documents electronically (in PDF format) free of charge. The plans will also be available for download from MITN. A set of bid documents will be available for viewing during normal business hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday at the St. Clair Shores City Hall City Clerk’s Office. Bid documents will be available to prospective bidders on February 17, 2017. A written request for documents shall be sent to epacella@partnersinarch.com.
