SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
The City of St. Clair Shores (SCS) is seeking a qualified contractor to replace seven (7) bridges at the St. Clair Shores Golf Club. Each Bidder must clearly identify their knowledge and abilities of the construction techniques required for this proposal. The existing bridges are constructed with steel I-beams sitting on cement abutments with rough sawn oak planking. The contractor will remove and dispose of old decking, clean and paint beams per specifications, perform all necessary work to install a 4” concrete bridge deck and raise abutments (where necessary). The intent is to replace two (2) of the seven (7) bridges before the end of 2013 with the remaining five being completed one or two at a time over the next twelve (12) months. An RFQ was done earlier this year for this project but was not awarded.
