SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The City of Romulus, Michigan is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the demolitions of structures and all required site restoration on the following properties: Single Family Residential Structure and Garage at 16483 Taft Single Family Residential Structure at 35953 Bibbins Single Family Residential Structure and 8' x 10' slab at 11325 Whitehorn 1. Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit bids must use the forms provided by the City. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system at http://www.mitn.info/. Copies of documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. 2. Clarifications, modifications, or amendments may be made to this solicitation at the discretion of the City. Any and all addenda issued by the City will be posted on the MITN system. All interested parties are instructed to view the MITN website regularly for any issued addenda. It is the responsibility of the bidder to obtain any issued addenda and acknowledge any issued addenda on the Table of Contents for this solicitation, and further submit a printed copy of the addendum attached as part of the required documents for this solicitation 3. A total of four (4) copies (one original bid marked “Original” and three duplicates marked “Copy”) of the bid must be received by the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30 p.m. local time, Monday, June 5, 2017. All copies of bid should be submitted together in one sealed envelope and addressed using the Bid package label provided in the ITB documents. 4. At approximately 2:45 p.m. local time, all timely received bids are to be publicly opened and read. 5. Bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (90) calendar days after the date for submitting bids. 6. The successful Bidder will be required to submit proof of all insurance required by the ITB documents and copies of all required endorsements. 7. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bonds each in the full amount of the Contract. 8. The City reserves the right to postpone the opening without notification and also reserves the right to reject all bids and proposals and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in proposals received. 9.
