SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
The Consultant will manage the work of third party demolition contractors that will be selected and contracted by the City of Pontiac based upon qualifications and competitive bids. It is anticipated that more than one (1) demolition contractor and asbestos abatement contractor will be utilized to perform the physical demolition and abatement activities. The Consultant understands they will follow the Demolition Procedures of Oakland County and City of Pontiac as outlined in the Oakland County Demolition check list and the Consultants proposal will incorporate them. Other parties that will need to be coordinated with include Oakland County Community & Home Improvement Division, local community groups, City of Pontiac (Mayor’s Office, Community Development Department and Building & Safety), the Oakland County Water Resource Commission, DTE, Consumers Energy, State and Federal Agencies as required. The Consultant shall provide a web based “data room” that allows the City access to all pertinent project files and allows for a “real time” status report on the demolition progress. The Consultant will be required to create a documentation binder. The binder will contain all pertinent environmental documents, for each property, related to the Asbestos Abatement and Home Demolition process.
