The City of Cadillac is accepting bids for the reconstruction of a portion of Carmel Street and the installation of water mains underneath the street. The work includes the following approximate quantities: 425 tons HMA and 750 linear feet of water main. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, money order, or bid bond, payable to the owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, as a proposal guarantee. Proposal guarantee of the bidders under consideration will be returned after approval of the contract by the owner. All others will be returned within 72 hours after the proposal opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract. Contract documents and plans may be obtained at the office of the City Engineer, 200 Lake Street, Cadillac, MI 49601 upon payment of $30.00 (thirty dollars) per set of plans and specifications.
